Partnership to improve the quality of life of teenagers

The Republican public organization "Tajik Network of Women Living with HIV" within the framework of the project "Partnership for improving the quality of life of adolescents living with HIV and expanding their opportunities by connecting to the existing peer platform in the EECA region - "Teenergizer", funded by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in the Republic of Tajikistan.
Based on the national HIV prevention and response plan for 2021-2025, in May and June 2023, several educational meetings were held in schools for high school students (10-11) using a specially developed tool within the framework of the regional program Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (German Society for International Cooperation) Health in Central Asia" "Route security", which was adapted by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and is conducted in a peer-to-peer format.
More than 300 teenagers from the city of Dushanbe participated in our exhibitions. The Safety Route program includes 6 topics; "HIV Transmission Routes", "Living with HIV", "Making an important Decision", "Bodies can Talk too", "Contraceptives and their Meaning", and "Questions and Answers".
We thank the management of secondary school No. 8, 1, 54, 92 and the Lyceum named after Asaddulo Gulyamov and also special thanks to the Department of Education of the city of Dushanbe, represented by Bobozod Asomiddin, for their assistance in organizing the event in these schools.
